Aima
Αἷμα · blood
Αἷμα is the Greek word for blood. Here it names the workshop’s dark red direction; the name is poetic, not a claim about an ancient recipe.

Thanatochromia
Θανατοχρωμία · the color death leaves behind
This site coins the word from θάνατος (death) and χρώμα (color). It is not presented as an ancient term.

An attested Greek term for difficulty or impasse, used here as a poetic name.

Natural
Φύσις · nature, the way things grow
Undyed Hermann Oak Old World Russet, listed by the tannery as natural. Handling, light, water, and wear can change its color.
